Attention New Mexico bear hunters:

Bear hunting is closed statewide, effective Nov. 30, 2020.

Cougar: All zones are open.

Please remember: Before hunting bears or cougars, hunters must verify the zone is open by checking the Department’s website or calling the Bear and Cougar Zone Closure and Harvest Hotline, (877) 950-5466.
