Federal investigators who participated in a 28-month effort to try to prove that went 0-for-72.<\/p>\n<p>We won\u2019t\u2019 hold our breath waiting for the triumvirate of Democrats\u2014Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., and Sens. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.\u2014who called for the inquiry to admit that one of their main talking-points is pure balderdash.<\/p>\n<p>The Government Accountability Office (GAO) report, \u201cInternet Firearm Sales: ATF Enforcement Efforts and Outcomes of GAO Covert Testing,\u201d was commissioned because the legislators wanted to replicate the results of three earlier \u201cstudies\u201d that anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg sponsored. But the GAO findings show that Bloomberg\u2019s studies were fallacious.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraila.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NRA-ILA<\/a>\u00a0has posted a lengthier\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraila.org\/articles\/20180105\/you-ve-got-fail-investigation-into-online-gun-sales-backfires-on-gun-controllers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>\u00a0about the study, and NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris Cox will be writing about it in an upcoming edition of\u00a0<em>America\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0Freedom<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The anti-gunners have long held on to their conviction that it\u2019s so easy to buy guns illegally online.
