In 2016, for the first time ever, some candidates running for office are attacking our Second Amendment rights rather than talking about enforcing our current laws and locking up criminals who misuse firearms. The balance of the Court is at stake.
\u00a0
The next president will nominate the next Supreme Court justice, and potentially as many as three justices. The party that controls the U.S. Senate will confirm \u2013 or block – the president\u2019s nominee(s) to the Supreme Court. The Heller decision, which held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to \u201ckeep and bear arms,\u201d was decided by just one vote. That\u2019s why it is so important for gun owners and Second Amendment supporters to get out and vote.

If you didn\u2019t get to vote early or absentee, NMSSA urges you to vote Tuesday. \u00a0If you, like many, don\u2019t like either candidate – please vote for the one who will be least likely to sabotage our Constitution and will most\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/b>likely work with Congress to support our Second Amendment.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
