Upcoming Special Legislative Session

New Mexico Shooting Sports Association - NRA Sanction Organization

If you haven’t heard yet, the New Mexico Legislature will be back for a special session starting March 30th. At this time, the declared agenda is legalizing recreational marijuana and and an economic development bill. The NMSSA team will be closely following the session and we will let you know if anything pertaining to our right to keep and bear arms surfaces.

During the past legislative session, on many occasions, people who are subscribed to our updates reached out to me on the status of other items that are not gun related. While I am happy to help as I have time, there are a lot of other good organizations out there lobbying on issues not related to guns. At NMSSA, we have a strict policy of never giving out information on our members or email subscribers to any third party. Working with New Mexico Business Coalition, who has helped us lobby on gun and public safety issues, we put together an optional survey for folks who want to get more involved in other issues. Here is the link to the survey. The survey is optional and they will only receive your information if you volunteer it to them.
