Attention New Mexico hunters:

Don’t forget to submit your mandatory harvest reports;
new requirements apply this year

New mandatory harvest reporting requirements are in effect this year. If you held a 2013-2014 deer, elk, antelope or turkey license, the deadline to file a free report is Feb. 15, 2014. After this date, an $8 late fee will apply, but you MUST report on or before the March 19 application deadline or your applications will be rejected from the big-game draws.

If you hold a 2013-2014 Barbary sheep, javelina, oryx, ibex, or trapper license, the deadline to report is April 7, 2014.

File your mandatory harvest report online at onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us. Log in to your account and click Harvest Reporting in the main menu. You also can report by phone toll-free at (888) 248-6866 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hunters have until Feb. 14 to report by phone, as Feb. 15 is a Saturday and Department offices will be closed.

Don’t forget to keep the confirmation number for your records. License holders must file a report, even if they didn’t hunt or trap. Remember, failure to file your mandatory harvest report on time will result in rejection of all big-game applications.
