Unknown Distance Event

Sorry – no free tickets available for this event.

See AAR here:

This advanced Unknown Distance course offers more realistic dynamics for the Rifleman. It puts into action the “Primary Task of a Rifleman”.  A concept simply talked about in our 2 day class. Primarily this is target detection and identification, range estimation, wind and finally, taking the shot. We will discuss trajectory and come ups.

Bring your bolt or semi-auto rifle 8mm or less. Scopes or iron sights will work but at this course your scoped bolt actions will do best at this type event! Have your rifle zeroed at 25 yards! This is a non-AQT, field expedient course. You MUST have taken at least one 2 day Appleseed. We will actually detect, range and shoot complex and hidden targets in canyons, open fields, shaded woods and angle shooting among the high country buttes.   Distances vary from 100-800 yards. In addition the usual items listed above, bring a small pack, rangefinder, binoculars and a calculator plus the usual Rifleman essentials. We will shoot about 300 rounds of ammo.
We will shoot the 1123 yard White Buffalo and smaller targets at that distance too!
